ANNENSCHULE
, a school attached to St. Anna's Lutheran Church, situated at 8a Kirochnaya Street. Y. I. Bruce, Peter the Great’s associate, made a decision in 1722 to provide regular training to children in reading and writing in German language with a separate school building later constructed. The school was opened on 3 January 1736 with pastor L. Shattner as the first teacher and director.

FABERGE COMPANY
is a jewelry company, founded in 1842 by Gustav Faberge, master of diamond business (1814-94). The Company was located at Bolshaya Morskaya Street; before 1854 at No.11; in 1854-1900 at No.16; and from 1900 – at No. 24 (House of Faberge; 1899-1900, architect K. K. Schmidt). In 1872, Gustav’s son Carl Faberge inherited the business (1846-1920). It is to him that the company owes its worldwide glory. In 1885 Faberge became a jeweler of the Imperial Court.

Morskaya Bolshaya Street
MORSKAYA BOLSHAYA STREET (in 1920-93 - Herzen Street, after A.I. Herzen)
, located from the General Staff Arch to Kryukov Canal. It was constructed in the early 18th century, in Morskaya settlement (hence the name). Until the middle of 18th century, the section up to Nevsky Prospect, with only its left side built up, remained a part of Bolshaya Lugovaya Street that ran from Millionnaya Street to Nevsky Prospect.

in St. Petersburg was established in 1904 on the initiative of graduate students and tutors of the Central School of Technical Drawing. Their main objective was to promote the development of artistic industry and distribute theoretical and practical knowledge of the applied arts. Among the participants were artists V.P. Babenchikov, N.O. Blinov, R.F. Wilde, I.A. Galnbek, O.O. May, M.G. Manizer, M.V. Rundaltsov, E.F. Faberge.

is a jewelry factory. It produces custom-made and ordinary jewelry, bijouterie, cut stones, enamel miniatures, enamel-filigree silverware, and other products. The factory has a chain of company shops in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The company dates back to the trust of the same name founded in 1922.

SS
. ZACHARIAH AND ELIZABETH CHURCH of Cavalry Guard Regiment, located at 22 Zakharyevskaya Street, an architectural monument. The first stone church for the staff of the Court Chancellery was constructed on this place in 1752-53. From 1803, it served as the church of Cavalry Guard Regiment. In 1856-58, it was rebuilt and the bell tower was erected (architect K. K. Ziegler).
