PETERBURGSKYE CHTENIYA (Petersburg Readings), a collection of conference reports, of a series of scientific conferences held in 1992-99 by the St. Petersburg Researchers Association, the St. Petersburg Union of Architects of Russia and the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction. A total of 11 issues appeared from 1992 to 1997; the editorial board was presided by the Academician of Architecture, president of the St. Petersburg Researchers Association Т. А. Slavin. The Peterburgskye Chteniya published works and research material on the history, culture, architecture and art of St. Petersburg, on issues of urban development and reconstruction, the city's international stature, as well as articles about its prominent citizens, personalities and historians. The material is arranged by chronological order (St. Petersburg in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries) and by subject (Lifestyle and Morals of St. Petersburg, Suburbs and Outskirts, St. Petersburg Chronicle, Architecture of St. Petersburg and others).
