OLYMPIA, is a garden in the centre of St. Petersburg, on Moskovsky Avenue, between Klinsky Avenue, Malodetskoselsky Avenue and Bataisky Lane. The total area of Olimpiya is 2.7 hectares. It was laid out on the location of Klinsky Market in 1946-47. The garden is designed in a standard-landscape style. There is a flower bed in the centre; a promenade path has been formed around its periphery. 16 species of trees grow in the garden, mainly linden, oak, maple, mountain ash, bird cherry, apple trees and over 10 species of bushes - lilac, cotoneaster, dog-rose etc. A cast-iron tracery fence was installed on the side of Moskovsky Avenue in 1948 (architects V. A. Kamensky, G. L. Ashrapyan). Olympia is used as a place of recreation.
