MALINOVKA, formerly a village, located in the northeast of St. Petersburg; known from the late 18th century. It stretched at the place where two rivers of the same name converge (sometimes called Narvin Brook) and the Okhta River (at the intersection of the present day Peredovikov Street and Udarnikov Avenue). In the 1970s it was demolished to build a residential development in Rzhevka-Porokhovye (district). Around the same time the Malinovka River was backfilled and the name disappeared from the city toponymics.
