MARTYNOVKA, a locality in the northwest of St. Petersburg northwards from Kolomyagi. In the late 19th to early 20th centuries there was the summer cottage settlement of Grafskaya intersected by a narrow-track railway connecting Novaya Derevnya and Ozerki. In the 1950s the area saw an intensive residential development. In the mid-1990s Martynovka was built up with multi-apartment residential buildings and low-rise building complexes. The name is preserved in Martynovskaya Street.
