DIBUNY, an area in the west part of Pesochny municipal unit, on the right bank of the Chernaya River. There is a railway station of the same name. The toponym originates from the Old Russian word "dybun" meaning swamp or bog. In the 18th century, ore for Chernorechensky Iron Foundry was mined in this area. In the 1870s, the railway line was built through Dibuny to Vyborg. In the 1880s, brickworks were founded. In the early 20th century, Dibuny became a country place. In 1942, a fortified area was located there. In 1954, Dibuny was included as an administrative part of Pesochny Village.
