STRATEGY (25/14 Seventh Krasnoarmeiskaya Street), humanitarian and political scientific centre, established in 1993 upon the initiative of a group of the deputies of the city council, active workers of democratic parties, journalists and businessmen for assistance to the formation and development of civil society structures in St. Petersburg and North-Western Region of Russia. The centre analyses the formation of civil society structures and regional authorities, works out educational programmes for leaders of political and social associations, deputies of legislative assemblies in various constituent regions of the Russian Federation. The members of the centre submitted a number of bills for consideration of St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly. A.Y. Sungurov has been the president of the centre since its foundation.
