GLEBOVA Tatyana Nikolaevna (1900, St. Petersburg - 1985), painter and graphic artist. She studied in A. I. Savinov's studio in 1924-25 and under P. N. Filonov from 1925. A member of the Professionals of Analytic Arts in 1925-32, she used the analytic method in designing scenery of R. Wagner's Meistersinger for the Maly Opera Theatre in 1932 and took part in painting illustrations for the Kalevala with Filonov at the head of the team. She painted for Ezh and Chizh, children's magazines, in 1928-21 and 1931-40, respectively, illustrated children's books, and engaged in industrial graphics. She created a number of works devoted to the siege of Leningrad such as During the Siege exhibited in the State Russian Museum and Family Portrait during the Siege exhibited in the State Tretyakov Gallery, both painted in watercolours in 1942. She developed a new spatial principle in painting together with her husband V. V. Sterligov from 1960 and continued the work with his students after he had died. She lived in Petrodvorets, is buried at Babigonskoe Cemetery.
