The Church of the Dormition has been constructed by the architect Verster (on the teritory of the contemporary Lyceum Garden). "Outside the church was covered with planks and painted like stone one and inside it was upholstered with linen and it was whitened. The cupola and spire of the bell-tower were covered with tin.", was written by I. Yakovkin. By 1715 "The Saari Grange included 2 dessiatines ( about 2 hectares ) of the estate land, 62 dessiatines ( 62 hectares ) of the grange land, 102 dessiatines (102 hectares ) of hayfield lands. 43 villages, 6 wastes, 69 peasant homesteads, 8 landless peasant homesteads were ascribed to the grange", was written in the land list of the 1715th.
