ART BUREAU OF N. E. DOBYCHINA, agency negotiating between artists and the public for the purpose of sales and hire. Opened in the fall of 1911 by N. E. Dobychina (1884-1950), it was located in the building of the Russian Foreign Commerce Bank (63 Moika River Embankment) from October 1913, moving to Adamini House (7 The Field of Mars, 2d floor) in November 1914, where it hosted exhibitions by the World of Art movement (1915-17), The Exhibition of Left Art Movements (April - May 1915), The Last Futuristic Art Exhibition 0,10, showing K. S. Malevich's Black Square (December 1915 - January 1916), the N. I. Kulbin Memorial Exhibition (June 1918) and others. It also organised music concerts, plays and literary gatherings. In early 1919 the bureau was closed down.
