SENNOY BRIDGE, a pedestrian bridge, over Griboedov Canal, beside Sennaya Square (hence the name). In 1931, a wooden bridge was built here, replaced with a new one in 1952 (engineer P.V. Bazhenov), its framework consists of a curved steel girder possessing a graceful profile; the quay walls serve as the abutments of the bridge; ladder descents are made at the both ends of the bridge. Sennoy Bridge is approximately 23 metres long and 2.3 metres wide.
