VYSHNEGRADSKY Alexander Ivanovich (1867 St. Petersburg - 1925), businessman, Chamberlain (1905), Actual Civil Councillor (1915). Son of I.A. Vyshnegradsky. After graduating from the Faculty of Law of Petersburg University (1889), he served in the Ministry of Finance, and in 1897-1905 was made Vice-Director of the Special Chancery of Credits. In 1902-10, he was Member of the Board of the Russian-Chinese Bank. In 1906-17, he headed the St. Petersburg International Bank, which held under its influence a number of large metallurgic, machine-building, military, and oil enterprises of which he was president and member. In 1908, he participated in the Interagency Meeting for Metallurgic and Machine-Building Industry. From 1915, he was a member of the Special Committee for the Reinforcement of Army Artillery Supply. He emigrated to France in 1918.
