HOLY TRINITY CATHEDRAL in Krasnoe Selo, located at 108 Lenina Avenue, an architectural monument in the Baroque style of the reign of Anna Ioannovna. It was built in 1733-35 (architect I. Y. Blank). A refectory and a single-tier bell tower adjoin the main single-domed building. In 1738, the left side-chapel was attached. The cemetery of the Holy Trinity Cathedral functioned until the 1830s. In 1851-54, the church was partially redesigned and extended, and a chapel was built (architect A. I. Rezanov). The Icon of the Presentation of Our Lord (painted in the 18th century, now held at the St. Alexander Nevsky Church of Krasnoe Selo) and the silver altar cross with relics were the main objects of worship. In 1937, all the clergy of the cathedral were shot, services stopped and were only resumed in 1941-43. The building was damaged during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45. In 1960, it was turned into a community centre. In 1995, the Holy Trinity Cathedral was returned to the faithful and partially restored.
