YAKUBOVICHA STREET, called Novo-Isaakievskaya Street until 1923, after St. Isaac's Cathedral, running between Isaakievskaya Square and Truda Square. The street was named after Decembrist A.I. In 1782-89 house No. 12 was built (see Central Post Office). Houses Nos. 1 and 3 were the manege, quarters and the stables of Cavalry Guards Regiment, were constructed in 1804-07. Most of the buildings of the street date to the 18th -20th centuries. Among them the following buildings are to be mentioned: house No. 2/3 (second half of the 18th century, rebuilt in 1879-90, architect F.L. Muller), house No. 4 (1740s, rebuilt in 1902 and in the 1950s), house No. 14 (late 18th century, rebuilt in the mid-19th century), house No. 16, formerly the British-American Church of Jesus Christ (1839-40, rebuilt in 1890), house No. 22 (1836, architect Е.
