Irinovsky Avenue

Categories / City Topography/Urban Network/Avenues

IRINOVSKY AVENUE, running from Boksitogorskaya Street to Kommuny Street, one of the major arteries of the Porokhovye area. The avenue runs parallel to the former Irinovskaya Railroad line (hence the name), and in 1976 was lengthened by the inclusion of the former Fourth Zhernovskaya Street. The distinctive feature of Irinovsky Avenue is its rugged topography, which comprises the river-valley of the Lubya River. The Zhernovka manor estate is situated at the beginning of Irinovsky Avenue, near the Okhta River bank.
