NOVO-MOSKOVSKY BRIDGE, over Obvodny Canal, along the line of Moskovsky Avenue. The bridge was built in 1808-1816 (architect V.I. Hastie), the span was covered by cast-iron tubbing vaults and rubble abutments faced with granite. The bridge was extended by adding additional metal structures in 1908 and 1941. In 1965-1967, a new bridge was built with spans in the form of three-jointed reinforced-concrete framework (engineer P.P. Ryazantsev, architect L.A. Noskov), the front sides of the abutments were partially faced with granite; an underpass was built behind the right-bank abutment. The length of the bridge (without the underpass) totals 29.7 metres, the width is 47 metres.
