BUTUSOV BROTHERS, football players. Vasily Pavlovich Butusov (1892-1971), started playing football in 1906 for the team of the 2nd Real School; in 1911-1922 played for UNITAS club; he was the centre forward (voted the nation's best before 1917). He was the champion of Russia (1912), 1st captain of the Russian national team, participant of the 1912 Olympics (2 games, 1 goal). From 1934 worked as a referee of the national category. He was buried in Shuvalovskoe Cemetery. His wife, E.P. Sumakova, was the 1st woman referee in the country (from 1925). Mikhail Pavlovich Butusov. (1899-1963), Merited Master of Sports (1934). He started playing football in 1917 for UNITAS (centre middle fielder), in 1931-36 he played for Dinamo (Leningrad) and other teams, for the USSR national team in 1924-34, was the participant of the 1st tournament of the USSR national team (1st captain). Playing for the national teams he scored 88 goals. He was buried in Shuvalovskoe Cemetery. Alexander Pavlovich Butusov (1895-1942), Konstantin Pavlovich Butusov. (1885-1942, both died during the Siege, and are buried in Shuvalovskoe Cemetery), Pavel Pavlovich (1898-1990, buried in Yuzhnoe Cemetery) played football in the championship of Leningrad. Kirill Pavlovich Butusov (1881-1947), was organiser of Russian football teams, one of the founders of Russian National Football Union (1912). He was buried in Helsinki (Finland).
